Ceramic Coating Process
1. Thorough Wash (Decontamination Wash)
The car is fully washed with a pH-neutral shampoo to remove dirt, grime, and road film.
Wheels, tires, and door jambs are cleaned as well.
The vehicle is then rinsed and dried completely.
2. Chemical Decontamination (Iron Removal)
An iron remover is sprayed on the paint to dissolve embedded brake dust and metal particles.
This prevents contamination from being trapped under the coating.
3. Clay Bar Treatment (Mechanical Decontamination)
A clay bar is gently rubbed over the paint to remove bonded contaminants (tar, overspray, tree sap).
The goal is to make the paint feel perfectly smooth like glass.
4. Paint Correction (Polishing) — Very Important Step
The paint is machine-polished to remove:
Swirl marks
Light scratches
Oxidation
This step ensures the surface is as clear and glossy as possible before the coating goes on.
Ceramic coating does not fix bad paint — it locks in whatever condition the paint is in.
5. Final Prep / Panel Wipe
A special solution (often isopropyl alcohol-based) is used to remove polishing oils and residue.
This ensures the coating bonds properly to the clear coat.
